Metropolis

In 1924, German director Fritz Lang's Die Niebelungen had just been released in the states, and as part of the press junket, Lang and his Ufa producer Erich Pommer were given a VIP tour of the latest and greatest Hollywood production facilities. Lang's response to the technical superiority of the American studio system was a declaration to produce “the costliest and most ambitious picture ever.” In essence, a game-changer.  Read more

Tom of Finland

Tom has been noted as one of the five most influential artists of the twentieth century. From the beginning, Tom consciously strove to instill in his work a positive, upbeat openness. When asked if he was not a little embarrassed that all his art showed men having sex, he disagreed emphatically: "I work very hard to make
sure that the men I draw having sex are proud men having happy sex!" Read more

Project Runway season 8 (favs)

Time to get back on pins and needles Project Runway Season 8 is back and I can't wait to watch everyone's processes and designes come to life on that runway.
Gretchen Jones is a top runner winning the 1st 2nd challenges. She has definitely set the bar on the show. She is also one of my favorite designers so far on the show.

Mondo Guerra is also one of my favorites, his creative ability and eye for transformation is amazing. The other contestants need to  watch out for this silent killer.

Clear Glass and Plastic Furniture

The invisible room. With the popularity of clear glass, plastic and lucite in home design, we've been thinking about what it would be like to live in an (almost) invisible room. Without the budget to build a glass house or furnish an invisible room, we did the next best thing and put together a style tray of the best furniture you can barely see. Read more

Men with nice butts

It seems every time you pass a newsstand, all the women’s fitness mags are having a “special glute edition,” but very rarely do you see an article dedicated to glute training for men.

I have yet to run into a person who doesn’t want a nice butt.  Whether they want a nice butt on them or on their partner, we all like butts.  Did you know that having a strong gluteus can help prevent leg injuries?  It has been proven to reduce the risk of knee ligament injuries and to help prevent issues related to your knees, ankles and iliotibial band. To make matters worse, having weak glutes leads to a postural fault called anterior pelvic tilt where your lower back is lordodic (hyperextended), making your butt stick out in the back and your stomach stick out in the front.

Reducing the risk of injury is critical while maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle.  If you haven’t been paying enough attention to your butt, there is no time like the present to start.  Here are some simple exercises that you can do to get the biggest bang for your butt. Read on

Love has no desire but to fulfill itself. To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night. To wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving. ~Kahlil Gibran

Top Myths About Bisexual Men

Myth: Bisexuality Is Only A Phase
"Bisexual people embody the true nature of fluid sexuality. This is not to say that they "sway" back and forth," but that there are varying degrees of bisexuality. Some bisexual people "lean straight," as it's called, meaning they prefer a member of the opposite sex, but same-sex partners are an option. Others "lean gay," or the exact opposite. Their preferences are no more a choice than those of straight, gay or asexual people."Read More
